synopsis
For decades, the Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar has faced systematic discrimination, statelessness, and violence. The brutal military crackdown of 25 August 2017 forced more than 700,000 Rohingya to flee to Bangladesh, leaving behind their homes, families, and ancestral land.
Through the testimonies of survivors, this documentary reveals the horrors of violence, village burnings, killings, sexual abuse, and the perilous journeys to safety. It also explores the Rohingya’s continuing struggle for justice, citizenship, dignity, and the right to return home safely.
