Gen-Z Bangladesh

From 15th July to 5th August, we witnessed a historic moment in our lifetime. Even from Paris, I heard the resounding footsteps of our incredibly brave youth almost every day. I heard calls of ‘moving forward’ with infinite courage in the face of ammunition and death. I heard their vehement protests, powerful statements, uttered in rebellious voices. I saw the downfall of a dictator in the face of their power of union. In 1971, our brave freedom fighters gave their lives for freedom. Unfortunately, we could not preserve it! Today, for the second time, our new generation, Gen-Z Bangladesh, has forcefully brought back that freedom (through a democratic uprising, a democratic reawakening). These are our new warriors. This is a new chapter in our history! We are making this film Gen-Z Bangladesh from footage received from my beloved students and colleagues through various social media sources. Today, on the first day in the new chapter of our history, I am sharing with you a small part of the full-length film, a special "trailer". May the souls of those who gave their lives in this movement rest in peace. This film is dedicated to them. Victory to Bangalis! Victory to Gen-Z Bangladesh!
